What We Do

PLEDGE To Protect provides neighborhood defense, de-escalation, and community-centered safety, and festival/events.

Our team is trained in:

• Conflict resolution
• Community mediation
• Emergency access coordination
• Youth-centered safety practices
• Cultural humility and respect

We show up where traditional systems have failed.
We stay present when others leave.
We protect without harming.
We serve without judgment.

Every day, our team supports residents, elders, children, visitors, and grieving families. We help prevent violence, reduce conflict, and create a sense of safety that honors the humanity of everyone involved.

Why PLEDGE To Protect Is Different

Neighborhood defense is essential, but it is rarely funded.

Our team works long hours in emotionally heavy environments. We respond to crises, support families, and maintain a presence that keeps the community safe. But unlike traditional security or law enforcement, we are not backed by large budgets or government systems.

Our approach has prevented confrontations, diffused tensions, supported grieving families, and created safer spaces for children and elders. We are building a model of community defense that honors life, protects dignity, and strengthens the bonds that hold neighborhoods together.
